The Ikegami Baien plum tree garden is beautiful all year round, but particulary during the plum blossom period at the end of February. I was a little bit late visiting this garden, which is why there’s not much blossom to see on my photos ^^;; Still I enjoyed some late blooming / left over blossom and other plants and flowers. There are also two traditional (tea)houses and a observation platform, which gives you a nice panorama view of the park and surroundings.
Baien Garden is located next to the Ikegami Honmon-ji Temple and is easy to reach in a 10 minute walk from Nishi Magome Station (Toei Asakusa Line) or a 15 minute walk from Ikegami Station (Tokyu Ikegami Line). Entry fee is 100 yen for adults and 20 yen for kids (6-15 years old). The park is open everyday from 09:00 – 16:30 but is closed on Monday.
