Ikegami – Honmonji Temple

The Honmonji Temple located on a top of a hill in Ikegami is a beautiful, Buddhist temple. On the temple ground there’re several temples and you’ll also find a variety of buildings like pagoda’s, historical statues (such as Saint Nichiren, founder of the Nichiren Sect of Buddhism) and more. Honmoji Temple is definitely worth a visit if you enjoy temples and historical spots.

Free entry and open every day. The temple is easy to reach in a 10 minute walk from Ikegami Station (Tokyu Ikegami Line) or a 15 minute walk from Nishimagome Station (Toei Asakusa Line).
